Export a ZIP from Bimlyte
- Export
- ZIP
- IFC
- BCF
To export a ZIP, open your project menu in the sidebar, choose Export Project → ZIP file, pick the IFC and BCF files, the BCF version and any attachments in the dialog, and click Export to download.
A ZIP is a plain folder of your chosen files and reports — ideal for sending someone a whole set at once. It is not a Bimlyte package: Bimlyte does not unpack ZIPs, so this file cannot be imported back into Bimlyte. For a package you can reopen, export a .bimlyte file instead.
Steps
Open the export menu
In the sidebar, click the project name to open its menu, then open the Export Project dropdown and choose ZIP file.
Choose the files and BCF version
In the dialog, select which of your IFC and BCF files to include. If you include BCF, choose the version to export: as in project (exactly as uploaded), 2.1 or 3.0. Optionally, tick the attachments to bundle in: documents, a PDF report and/or an Excel report.
Export ZIP file
Click Export. The ZIP is built in your browser and the download starts automatically.
Everything is packaged in your browser — nothing is uploaded. A ZIP is meant for sharing a set of files; it cannot be imported back into Bimlyte. Export a .bimlyte package if you need a file that reopens as a project.
