Export a Bimlyte project

To export a project, open its menu in the sidebar, choose Export Project → Bimlyte project, optionally protect it with a password in the dialog, and click Export to download the .bimlyte file.

A .bimlyte file bundles the whole project — models, issues, saved views and settings — into one file you can back up or move to another device. It reopens in Bimlyte with nothing to install.

Steps

  1. Open the export menu

    In the sidebar, click the project name to open its menu, then open the Export Project dropdown and choose Bimlyte project.

  2. Set a password if you need one, then export

    A dialog shows what the package will include. To protect it, tick Protect with password and type a password — or leave it unchecked. Then click Export. The .bimlyte file downloads automatically, ready to share or import on another device.

Everything is bundled in your browser — nothing is uploaded. The recipient imports the .bimlyte file in Bimlyte, with no software to install; if you set a password, share it with them separately.
