Add files to a Bimlyte project

  • Project
  • Import
  • IFC
  • BCF

To add files, open your project, go to the Files page, click Add File and choose one or more IFC or BCF files — or drag and drop them straight onto the page.

You can bring IFC models and BCF issues into a project at any time from the Files page. Everything is read on your device.

Steps

  1. Open your project and go to Files

Open the project you want to add files to, then click Files in the sidebar.

  2. Add your files

In the toolbar at the top left of the Files page, click Add File and pick one or more IFC or BCF files. You can also drag and drop the files straight onto the page.

  3. Wait for the files to load

Each file appears as a card while it loads — larger files take a little longer. To stop one mid-way, click the X in the top-right corner of its card.

  4. Check for invalid files

If a file can't be read, its card flags the problem and that file is not added. Remove it and try a valid IFC or BCF file.

Your files are read and stored on your device — nothing is sent to a server. Storage is limited only by your browser and device.
