Annotate viewpoint snapshots

To annotate a viewpoint snapshot, open the issue in Bimlyte, click Annotate above its viewpoints, mark up the image with the drawing tools, and click Save — the annotated snapshot stays with the viewpoint.

Every BCF viewpoint carries a snapshot image. Bimlyte lets you draw on that snapshot — arrows, text, shapes, redactions — so your markup travels with the issue.

Steps

  1. Open an issue

    Open your project, click Issues in the sidebar, and select the issue you want to annotate.

  2. Click Annotate

    In the viewpoints section, click Annotate in the toolbar at its top-right corner. The annotation editor opens.

  3. Pick a tool

    Choose a tool from the toolbar on the right — pen, text, shapes, badges or redact. You can also paste any image from your clipboard with Ctrl + V.

  4. Set its style and draw

    Use the top toolbar to set the style — for example pen colour, line thickness or style — then draw on the snapshot. Right-click to exit the current drawing mode. Click Keyboard shortcuts in the bottom-left of the drawing area to see more shortcuts.

  5. Save

    Click Save to keep the markup on the viewpoint, or Cancel to discard it.

Want to keep the annotated snapshot on its own? Use Copy or Download in the bottom-left corner to save it as a JPG image — Copy puts it on your clipboard, Download saves it to your device.
